Julie has been twice nominated for Best Drama at the BBC Audio Drama Awards for THE ELECTRICAL VENUS and A SHOEBOX OF SNOW. In 2018, her play POLYGAMY FOR GIRLS formed part of the Radio 4 Riot Girls season, alongside adaptations of work by Margaret Atwood and Doris Lessing.
Her short story commissions for Radio 4, include a trilogy of stories based on the fairytale RAPUNZEL and stand-alone story THE LAST PLACE. STOPGAP was her critically-acclaimed radio writing debut.
