Julie's latest short story commission for BBC Radio 4 was The Last Place, and before that, a trilogy of reimaginings of the fairytale Rapunzel. Her stories have been performed on the live scene too, most frequently at Liars' League. Julie was one of the co-founders of short story cabaret The Berko Speakeasy, where she curated evenings of other writers' stories for sell-out audiences. In 2016, Julie contributed a story to the Stripes Anthology I'll Be Home For Christmas in aid of homeless charity Crisis.
